increase voume in audacity

Audacity (highly recommended, works on Windows/Mac/Linux)

1. Import your audio file.
2. Select the entire track (Ctrl+A).
3. Go to Effect > Normalize — set to -1 dB (this boosts peaks safely).
4. Optionally, apply Effect > Compressor for more consistent loudness.
5. Then use Effect > Limiter to push the overall volume higher without clipping.
6. Export the enhanced file.
